Peak Performance Choir at  St.Helen’s Church Hall,  March 16th 2018

We had a wonderful evening of music by Peak Performance. Covering all kinds of music from Abba to My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the Roof to The Sound of Music.  They had a great mix of songs and humour. Refreshments were provided by Pinxton Coop and went down a treat. We hope to welcome them back in the not too distant future.

Pinxton Brookhill Community Group Summer Fete 2018

We held our first official Summer Fete on the 30th June in the grounds of Brookhill Hall.

After months of hard work and planning the event was a great success.

Outside the hall we had a range of classic cars, motorbikes and tractors. The wonderful Jayne Darling added glamour and nostalgic songs, in between Kirkby Colliery Brass Band playing a great selection of music.

There was a selection of delicious food stalls, Caribbean, Noodles, Jacket Spuds, Donut nuts and of course on a spectacularly hot day we had ice cream.

A fabulous collection of craft stalls, face painters and Birds of prey surrounded the main arena.

In the main arena we had Pinxton Amateur Boxing Club demonstrating their skills, Lauren Monks School of Dance, Circus tricks with J J Entertainment. We also had the fabulous Joliet Jake Blues singing and getting the audience dancing.

The children had a great time on two free bouncy castles and with free crafts with Messy Kidz and face painting.

Pinxton Brookhill Community Group would like to thank Pinxton Parish Council and KB Events for their help in funding the event and all the help given to us by John and Jenny at PPC.
